Great Northern 121 is high yielding upright plant that matures approximately 1-3 days later than Beryl (based on 17 yr./locations) and has good dry down. The average seed size is larger than Beryl at 1,279 seed/lbs. compared to Beryl at 1,525.

GN-121 has demonstrated rust resistance in the 5 years of trials in Colorado State University's bean rust nursery. 01121 is undergoing further testing for Bean Common Mosaic resistance. Overall 01121 has demonstrated Similar canning quality to Marquis in 2 canning trials with Michigan State University.
