Northstar
Northstar-has an upright shortvine type II plant habit and carries it's pods slightly higher than type I varieties, making it suitable for direct harvesting. Maturity is similar to Eclipse, with average yield potential. Seed size is 2447 with good seed quality. It is resistant to most rust races found in ND and may be less susceptible to white mold due to its architecture. In some circumstances it may exhibit green stem characteristics associated with leaf retention at maturity. NDSU 1991
