Growth Habit and Maturity - ROG179 is a mid-season vine
variety with an approximate maturity of 95 days. This
is about the same as the Bill Z. variety.
Seed Quality - ROG179 has the traditional pinto shape
and size, with about 1200 seeds per pound. It has bright
attractive seed maintaining well in storage. ROG179
also has good cool soil germination.
Disease Resistance - ROG179 is tolerant to the prevalent
strains of Bean Common Mosaic virus. It has shown some
tolerance to bacterial brown spot and halo blight. ROG179
also has some field tolerance to bean rust.
